When mentioning Tesla's Cybertruck, what is your first impression? Is it the bulletproof stainless steel exoskeleton? The highly futuristic cyberpunk design? Or perhaps the 'ultra-minimalist' interior that doesn't even have a dashboard?

The Cybertruck's interior design completely breaks the mold. Its massive, flat dashboard is not just the visual centerpiece—it pushes minimalist aesthetics to the absolute limit. Yet, the simpler the lines, the more unforgiving the demands on surface texture, manufacturing precision, and molding technology.
Today, we're bringing you a hardcore deep dive: How CDM-TECH leverages advanced IMG (In-Mold Graining) technology to build exclusive experimental molds for this epoch-making beast!🚀
All great industrial products begin with exceptionally precise models. In the early stages of developing the Cybertruck's dashboard components, the CDM-TECH team demonstrated profound foundational expertise in tooling.
To ensure the dimensional accuracy and perfect surface fit of the final product, CDM-TECH created a comprehensive matrix of preliminary models.

As seen in the images, the Cybertruck's iconic angular and sharp-line design was perfectly delineated right from the modeling stage.
Whether an interior feels premium or not depends entirely on its 'surface work'. The core advantage of the IMG (In-Mold Graining) process lies in its ability to form a beautifully textured skin in a single step, while simultaneously ensuring uniform material stretching and a refined, delicate tactile feel. And the secret behind all of this is hidden within the 'nickel shell'.

Behold the actual IMG experimental mold, tailor-made by CDM-TECH for this project! This imposing metallic beast integrates a complex temperature control system and a vacuum suction structure. In actual production, the heated, softened skin material is instantly drawn tightly against the mold surface by negative vacuum pressure, achieving ultra-fast shaping. What appear to be a few simple punch holes and structural reinforcements are actually the culmination of countless mold flow analyses and parameter calibrations.
Through CDM-TECH's rigorous mold development and trial production, these interior components, boasting a flawless texture, ultimately became a crucial part of the Cybertruck's sci-fi-inspired cabin.
From the master model to the nickel shell, and from the IMG mold to the final, perfectly molded part—CDM-TECH has proven its capabilities: Even when faced with disruptive automotive designs, Chinese mold-making enterprises can still deliver truly stunning results!
